How to create a student account
Are you between 18 and 26 years old? Come and invest in stocks and bonds from all over the world with us through ETFs, online, and at a reduced fee. Prepare your ISIC card number or a certificate of study with a school stamp and upload it:
- In the My account section in the client zone, if you are already a Fondee client (you have an account with us with a standard fee) - we will arrange the transfer of your account to a student account.
- During registration, if you are not yet a Fondee client (you do not have an account with us).
Our team will check the entered data and activate your benefits. You only need to prove your studies once and you can use your student account until you are 26 years old. If you have filled in your ISIC number, you will also get a bonus of 100 CZK to start! And that's a good deal, isn't it?
Deposits and contributions from parents and relatives
In Fondee you can choose from 7 portfolios from conservative to bold in the classic or sustainable ESG variant - you can open up to 5 different portfolios at once. Then you send deposits in any frequency and amount. It pays off to invest long-term and regularly, but if you sometimes manage to put away more and sometimes less, nothing happens. Everyone according to their own possibilities, the most important thing is to start.
You can also involve your parents and relatives in investing within your student account (they might prefer to hear about it than buying new shoes or an iPhone). They can send you contributions directly to Fondee, just give them the payment details listed in the client zone and tell them to include your portfolio number in the message to recipient so that the money is credited correctly.
- Anyone who is a Fondee client has the opportunity to send you deposits in unlimited amounts from a bank account linked to Fondee.
- Everyone else can contribute up to 23,000 CZK per year from one account number.
Withdrawals and switching to a standard account
With a student account up to 26 years of age, you can invest with a lower fee (0.61% per year) and unlimited withdrawals. We understand that it is not easy to save up a sufficient financial reserve when you are young and anything can happen during your studies, so we do not limit withdrawals in any way and they will not affect the fee. Just approach them with caution - investments work best when they can work for you in the long term.
Once you turn 26, your Fondee account will switch from student to standard (with a fee of 1.09% per annum).
Why invest as a student with Fondee?
Time is on your side
Enjoy your studies, let the compound interest do the work. You can have a nice investment package in just a few years (and what about decades!). In addition, you will build healthy financial habits from a young age. The only thing left is the first step – to start!
A penny saved is a penny earned
Student life is tough enough. That's why we offer a reduced fee of 0.61 % per year on accounts for young people instead of the usual 1.09 % . You certainly don't have to put away thousands right away, even small amounts and contributions from loved ones count.
It's not rocket science
It's never too early to invest and you don't even need a degree in economics. All you need is a mobile phone and the desire to try it out. Fondee is an intuitive app and if anything happens, we are here for you in chat and on social media.
